Remembering Sue Warner
Not too long ago, if you wanted to set up a conference call or book certain AEP meeting rooms, you picked up the phone and called someone.
That helpful voice on the other end of the line belonged to Sue Warner.
Warner passed away in July, still on the job, and helping people, after 40 years.
For many long-tenured employees, Warner was the voice of AEP. If you called corporate headquarters needing to talk to someone, she answered the call. Her knowledge of employees was so encyclopedic she could often connect you with the right person even if all you had was a first name and some vague idea of what they did for the company.
“Sue was a very special person,” said Dodie Saunders, former executive administrative assistant-senior. “I worked with her many times during my career at AEP. You could feel her smile through the phone and whatever you needed she made happen!”
