by on January 2, 2018

AEP retirees who are age 65 and older and their dependents are reminded that the Medicare Advantage plans began Jan. 1, 2018. Participants will receive a new ID card in the mail.

2018 Medicare Advantage ID cards began mailing the third week in December. Each member will receive their own card with unique ID number. Plan acceptance letters with member IDs were mailed the second week in December and can be used as proof of insurance until the new ID card arrives.

In addition, members can use Aetna Navigator to print a copy of their ID card. They can also download the Aetna mobile app to their smart phone to obtain an ID card image.

To use Aetna Navigator, go to Aetna.com and select “Log In/Register.”

For questions, you may call Aetna at 1-855-527-2452.

  1. And for those retirees who Snowbird in Florida you’ll be lucky to get your card by March even if you’re a good little soldier and update your temporary address at the HR “On Line” or call the HR office either way never gets to aetna or they ignore it. They continue to send it to your northern home address where the Postal Service plays hide the envelope till it turns yellow. I got my signup information 4 days after the cut off to make my selection. And the Doctors are real understanding when you walk in with nothing but a stupid look for proof of insurance. I will make sure they now I am an AEP retiree and they really care !!!!
