Enrollment guides for under 65 age retirees now in mail

by on November 1, 2017

Enrollment packets for retirees who are under 65 are being mailed Thursday, November 2, later than planned due to printing issues.

For retirees under age 65, there are no changes in regards to options or plans for 2018. Medical and vision costs will stay the same, with a slight cost increase for dental coverage. If no action is taken, under age 65 retirees will continue to be enrolled in the same coverage that is currently in place, covering the same eligible dependents (if applicable).

Retirees can view their Personalized Enrollment Worksheets (PEW) at the AEP Benefits Center (https://www.ibenefitcenter.com/aep) under Forms/Communication History. The 2018 Annual Enrollment Guide for retirees is located under the Resource Center/Plan Information/Health tab. Retirees can also review the enrollment guide at this website on the Benefits tab.

I have some feedback. When I first received the notification that the selection window was open, I went looking for the 6 or 7 page document that lists the different plans including their costs. I could not find them. Also, in reading the notification, it inferred that you had to do everything on line. I called the help line and the individual attempted to get me where the plan/price information was. I could not get there. I called again and this person get me to the correct information. I printed it out and the enrollment package. I then got the above notice and shortly after received the packet in the mail. It would have been nice to know, up front in the first notification, that the enrollment packets were being sent out in the US mail. Thanks.

I received my packet on November 17, the day AFTER open enrollment ended. My packet postage date was November 14. Not good.
