Annual Oglebay Park mini-vacation contest launched
(Story by Carmen Prati-Miller)
In its 19th year, the Oglebay Park mini-vacation is again open to all active and retired AEP employees.
Joan and Lee Kelvington, retired Ohio Power T&D director, are the generous sponsors of the annual getaway. “Joan and I love the park so much. It is a gorgeous facility with so much to offer visitors,” said Kelvington. “We take pleasure in making this mini-vacation a reality for a member of our AEP family as well as his/her guest and look forward to meeting them each year.”

The Oglebay Park mini-vacation package includes three days and two nights deluxe lodging for two, breakfast for two each morning and a dinner for two at Wilson Lodge’s beautiful Ihlenfeld Dining Room, as well as park admission passes for boating, fishing, miniature golf, tennis and swimming.
Oglebay Resort and Conference Center is an exceptionally beautiful escape from day-to-day activities. It encompasses 1,700 acres of recreational countryside nestled in the hills of Wheeling, W.Va. The festival is one of America’s largest holiday light shows with more than a million lights set in beautiful displays that adorn a six-mile drive-through tour covering 300 acres.
