Habitat houseCentral Ohio retirees and alumni are welcome to join in the annual AEP Habitat for Humanity Partnership home build Wednesdays and Saturdays this summer and fall, according to Jim Rosing, coordinator major facility projects, AEP Workplace Services, and community champ for the Habitat build.

Among AEP retirees already working on the home on Wednesdays are Dale Krummen, Ernie Pfund, Larry Hutchinson, Mike Martin, Ron McCrea and Tom Beck.

Starting June 22, work also will begin on Saturdays with both active and retired AEP employees.

AEP Habitat for Humanity Partnership – Mid Ohio needs volunteers to work on the 2013 Partnership home being built in the Columbus area. The Partnership — AEP employees and friends — will once again be working on the home every Wednesday and Saturday though the Fall, as it has done since 1996.

The work day begins with a safety briefing at 8 a.m. and should wrap up around 2 p.m.

No special skills are needed and instructions will be provided.

To volunteer or ask questions, please contact Jim Rosing, 614-716-6856, or jrrosing@aep.com.
