Higher education matching gifts program to change in 2013

Due to budget constraints and limited staff, the AEP Higher Education Matching Gifts program will be changed beginning Jan. 1, 2013.

| Total matching payments per employee or retiree per institution per year will be capped at $1,000 in 2013. |
To be eligible for the company match, donations by employees to colleges and universities in 2013 must be at least $250 per payment. Total matching payments per employee or retiree per institution per year will be capped at $1,000 in 2013.
AEP will match eligible donations dollar-for-dollar up to the cap.
Donations made by employees in 2012 but not submitted to AEP by the institution until 2013 will be matched at the previous 2012 levels.
