The John Fritz Medal
The caption for this photograph in our corporate archive reads: “The John Fritz Medal, one of the highest individual honors in the engineering world, was presented to Philip Sporn in 1955. The medal, given annually and jointly by AIEE, ASME, AIMME and ASCE, cited Sporn as a distinguished engineer, pioneer in utility engineering practice, eminent executive and human administrator.”
