The Summer of ’69
Photographer Tony Mitchell had this to say about his photo: "The summer of 1969 I spent much of my time at the business end of a handline looking up. As I remember 318 ft was the height to the top of this tower along the Ohio River. I was given the chance to replace the lightbulb at the top early on before we finished the project. Later while in the service, a plane in which I was riding flew low over the Ohio and I could see the strobe light flashing atop the tower."
