2011 Oglebay Park mini-vacation contest underway

Joan and Lee Kelvington, retired Ohio Power T&D director, are happy to announce the 16th annual Oglebay mini-vacation contest. “We are pleased to sponsor this annual contest which gives AEP employees and retirees a chance to visit Oglebay and the opportunity to kick back for a few days of rest, relaxation and fun,” said Kelvington.

Oglebay Resort and Conference Center is a year round, exceptionally beautiful escape from day-to-day activities. It encompasses 1,700 acres of recreational countryside nestled in the hills surrounding Wheeling, W.Va. Visitors can enjoy championship golf courses, paved walking/jogging trails, seasonal gardens, museums, shopping, zoo, planetarium, a hands-on Discovery Lab, a state-of-the-art environmental center, a luxurious day spa, and, the Winter Festival of Lights. The Festival is one of America’s largest holiday light shows with a million lights set in various displays that are part of a six-mile driving tour covering 300 acres. The getaway package includes three days and two nights deluxe lodging for two, breakfast for two each morning and an evening’s dinner for two at Oglebay’s fine dining facility, as well as daily admission passes for park activities such as boating, fishing, miniature golf, tennis and swimming.
 
The contest winner will be responsible for all travel arrangements and making his/her own reservations. Given availability of park accommodations, the lucky winner will have a full 12 months from which to schedule this exciting mini-vacation.
 
All contest entries must be submitted electronically by Jan. 3, 2011, with the entry form on AEP.com.
