AEP Connects grant applications due Aug. 31
Employees and retirees who volunteer significant time to local schools or charitable organizations can earn a $150 grant to each organization by completing a simple form. AEP Connects “dollars for doers” grants are available to recognize volunteer service performed by employees and retirees in AEP communities.
The $150 grants from AEP are paid to qualified schools and nonprofit organizations where individuals have volunteered 40 hours or more on their own time in a recent 12-month period. Volunteer hours contributed by family members may account for 16 of the required hours.
Last year, 894 grants totaling more than $134,000 were made in recognition of the volunteer service of more than 725 active and retired employees. The grants represented nearly 78,500 volunteer hours provided by AEP employees.
Submit AEP Connects grant applications through the end of August. You may print an application or request one by calling the Human Resources Service Center at 1-888-237-2363 (audinet 8-305-2363). More information on the grants may be found at the AEP Now Community & Education Relations AEP Connects website. Applications include instructions for returning them to Corporate Communications Community Relations for processing.
Your link to the grant application won’t open; I’ve tried it several times today.
